What is the objective of every mobile marketer?
The end goal of a mobile campaign should always be to produce a phone call.
There are several reasons for this. Here are three of the most prominent:
1) Close rates are disproportionately higher with phone calls than with an email, click-through or even a form fill-out. The likelihood of closing a deal and making a sale is much greater when someone calls.
2) Mobile marketing is directly associated with phone calls. Whether a customer connects with your business via local search, coupon, PPC, banner or text message — it all takes place on their smartphone. At this point, all they need to do to reach your business is tap their finger and your phone will start ringing.
3) Easy to produce and easy to track. For example, Google AdWords mobile campaigns require a phone number to appear in the ad. Google then monitors how many people tap the number to call your business. This information is displayed alongside other Google Analytics data.
Phone calls are the ultimate mobile marketing achievement.
