This question comes around every four years. Some of my clients ask, “What is the impact of the election and will it affect me or my company?”
Well, let’s start with the obvious. If you do television or radio advertising, it will affect you. The Republicans and Democrats are poised to spend hundreds of millions on TV and radio advertising this year.
What does that mean for you?
This year’s election will more than likely pit Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump against each other. This is one of the most polarizing elections that we’ve seen. With that being said, this makes for great TV, radio and internet viewing. Thus, the potential for a high viewing audience is expected by the pundits.
It’s almost over. November will be here before you know it. Once the election is over, things will start opening up and inventory will become prevalent again.
Tracking your inventory is mandatory here. This type of advertising is vital to your business; however, paying top dollar for advertising may not be your best ROI. Look at different ways of generating leads and sales, such as pay-per-call.
PPC is a way for you to pay for the lead or sale or even duration of the call, similar to clicks. Metrics matter here and having a good technology to track your campaigns is essential.
